Among the whole bunch of girls who acted in Chak De India alongside SRK, probably the one who managed to draw maximum eyeballs was Sagarika Ghatge. Sagarika, who played the gutsy character of Preeti Sabarwal, also emerged as the highest goal-scorer in the film. Now it seems Sagarika has managed to strike a goal in her real life too. The actress has been signed by Percept Picture Company for their film Raftaar (working title). The film is directed by noted ad film maker Shamin Desai. Sagarika will be paired opposite serial-kisser Emraan Hashmi in the film. What is interesting is the fact that the role which Sagarika has been signed for was to be originally played by Esha Deol. Bollywood Hungama got in touch with Sarita Patil, Head of feature films at Percept Picture Company, to get some more info on this story. “Yes we have signed Sagarika for Raftaar. She has replaced Esha Deol as we couldn’t agree on the price. After things didn’t work out with Esha, we had a couple of options in mind and our director Shamin had seen Sagarika’s work in Chak De India and felt she would fit the part. Sagarika’s is a full-fledged lead role opposite Emraan Hashmi.” The film also stars Neha Dhupia and Aditya Panscholi in prominent roles. Shooting for the film is currently underway in Kuala Lumpur and the film is expected to release sometime early next year (2009).

Rahul Bose and Esha Deol star in Shivam Nair's next directorial venture titled Exchange Offer. The film was earlier titled Ghost Ghost Na Raha. The story is written by Urmi Juvekar and the film is being produced by PVR. Besides, Rahul and Esha, the film also has a very strong star cast which includes Naseerudin Shah, Paresh Rawal and Om Puri. The film also features Vatsal Sheth, the actor who made a rather forgettable debut with Tarzan - The Wonder Car. The film belongs to comedy genre and has a very urban feel to it. Sources also claim that such kind of film is being made for the first time in Bollywood. The film is currently being shot in Mumbai.

Biography
Kareena Kapoor, nicknamed "Bebo" (born September 21, 1980 in Bombay, India) is a Bollywood actress. She is part of the famous Kapoor family.

Kareena is the great-great-granddaughter of Dewan Basheswarnath Kapoor, and great-granddaughter of Prithviraj Kapoor, who was a famous actor. She is the granddaughter of actor and producer Raj Kapoor and daughter of Randhir Kapoor and actress Babita. Her great uncles are Shashi Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor. Her uncles are Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor.

Her cousins are Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor, Shivani Kapoor and Nikhil Nanda who is married to Amitabh Bachchan's daughter, Shweta Nanda. Her sister Karisma Kapoor is also in the film industry.

Her first movie was J. P. Dutta's Refugee which was released on June 30, 2000 and included co-debutant Abhishek Bachchan in the cast. Though the film didn't do well her performance was praised. Her first hit was the film Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai.

Her other notable roles include "Pooja" in the inter-generational melodrama Kabhie Kushi Kabhie Gham, "Kaurwaki" in Asoka, the title role in Chameli, in which she plays a prostitute and her role as a riot victim in Dev, for which she won the Filmfare Critics Award Best Performance.

Since then she has appeared in the hit Aitraaz, but succeeding film have not done as well.

She is currently dating actor-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor (they starred together in the 2004 movie Fida which did not succeed at the box office).

A passerby with a camera phone filmed Kareena kissing her boyfriend Shahid Kapoor (in a hotel's public area) and released the video. A Mumbai newspaper published stills from the video. Kareena and Shahid at first denied that the pictures were of them, but later reversed themselves and complained of an invasion of privacy.

Biography
Mahesh Manjrekar started his acting career in 1984 with the Marathi play Aflatoon, which paved way for him as an award winning producer with more plays like Dhyanimani, Doctor Tumhisuddha, Gidhade, Akashmaat, All the Best and Asecha Amhi Sare. He embarked on his journey as a film maker with the award winning Marathi film Aai for which he won a Filmfare for the best director and also bagged the Screen Videocon award that year.

Once there, there was no stopping for this man, and he took his vision further with the highly acclaimed Vaastav with Sanjay Dutt. But initial success then gave way to a series of not-so-memorable ventures such as Nidaan, and Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rahta Hai, which flopped miserably at the box office. Some of his recent directorial ventures include Viruddh, Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav and It Was Raining That Night. Besides directing, Manjrekar has also been active as an actor, writer, and producer and even as a playback singer (Kaante).

Sunny Deol born to filmstar Dharmendra as "Ajay Singh Deol". This 5'9" tall guy made his debut as a teenage romantic hero in Betaab with co-star Amrita Singh. Action roles seemed to be his forte, but he also tried his hand at romantic roles in several movies. His mega-budget The Hero didn't live up to expectations and his other movies were quite forgettable. His track record has been dented, but it will continue to be biceps and bashing all the way next year. The shy, soft-spoken Deol is a tough guy to keep down for long.

Sanjay Dutt son of Nargis and Sunil Dutt was born on 29 July 1959. His hell raisin's days are behind him. Now he has settled into a steady pace. He's moved on from lover boy and action hero roles to try his hand successfully at slick gangster movies and comedy. He has turned producer also from film Kaante. Now he is in the position when he can book himself the kind of roles he fancies. He started his film career with Rocky (1981). Then sanjay appeared in the movie Mission Kashmir (2000), Kaante (2002) which were another award winning performances. Sanjay Dutt has got married to his long-time girl friend, Rhea who stood by him in times of grief, agony and at a time when he really needed one who could well understand him. The wedding was a sensation it was held at hotel Taj on Valentine's Day. His last movie Munna Bhai MBBS (2003) was a super duper comedy hit of the year. He also got the Film Fare best Comedian award for this movie.
